Long-Term Supervised Cardiac Rehabilitation After Balloon Pulmonary Angioplasty Improved Residual Exercise Pulmonary Hypertension in Patients With Chronic Thromboembolic Pulmonary Hypertension: A Two-Case Report.

This two-case report examines whether long-term supervised cardiac rehabilitation following balloon pulmonary angioplasty (BPA) could address residual exercise-induced pulmonary hypertension in patients with chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH). Both cases demonstrated improvement in exercise-related pulmonary hemodynamics after the rehabilitation program, suggesting a potential adjunctive role for structured exercise-based cardiac rehab post-BPA. These findings may inform PT involvement in post-procedural pulmonary rehabilitation protocols for CTEPH patients.
